Today I will be talking about the Light As A Feather pressed mineral pigment, but the information here should apply to all of the shades.

This pressed mineral pigment is a mineral powder foundation filled with powerful, pure pigment. Light As A Feather is recommended for fair skin with neutral golden undertones. When applied, your skin will be even and smooth while still feeling natural. As with most mineral makeup, it often feels as if you aren’t wearing any makeup at all… it just feels light and silky. This Colorescience mineral foundation contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to protect your skin from the sun. These minerals act as a natural sunscreen. Also found in this makeup is Vitamin E to nourish the skin. You can use the sponge for heavy coverage and to get more sun protection, or use a brush for a light, natural look.

Most users love the way that this mineral makeup makes their skin look flawless. It completely covers blemishes while still feeling light and natural. Many people even use it as a bronzer. One nice thing about this foundation is that since it’s compressed, it won’t spill out of the compact. Many people say that this is hands down the best cover up ever. Is this the mineral makeup you’d like to use every day? Need more Information?

This concealer contains vitamin K to help fade dark circles, as well as jojoba ester and avocado oil. It is high in vitamins A, C, D, & E to nourish the area under your eyes.

This makeup contains two shades and you can choose between several combinations. #1 combines a light and medium yellow. #2 combines light and medium peach which is great for neutralizing blue circles. #3 combines deep yellow and deep brown. Or you can also choose a custom combination of shades to achieve the specific shade that you need.

To use this concealer, just apply it in thin layers where you need it, and dust with mineral powders.

Many people say that it is the best under eye makeup that they have ever used. It can take some time to get used to, because you will have to mix the colors to find the perfect match for your skintone, but once you find it, you’ve got it and it becomes very easy to use. This mineral makeup is great for dark circles under the eyes, and it will cover those circles without flaking away.

Does this sound like something you’d like to own? Need more information?

It is up to you whether you want to go with a softer or more dramatic look, and it will brighten up any complexion. Moonglow Bronzer’s gentle shimmer comes from 24-karat food-grade gold flakes and will give your skin a natural glow. It can be used on the eyes, cheeks, or all over the face and contatins no FD&C Dyes or irritants. What are users of this mineral bronzer saying? Pretty much everyone that has tried it absolutely loves it. The bronzer will highlight even fair skin beautifully giving it a natural glow that you can’t find anywhere else. It will give your face a lovely bronze glow that looks like a real glowing tan and won’t make your face look ‘orange-ish’ like many tanners or other bronzers. It is recommended that you use the and you will get excellent all-over cover.

Most users say that this is the best bronzer that they have ever used. It goes on easy and never streaks, blends well, and is not too sparkly. You can combine the colors to achieve a nice elegant look, and you can even use it on other parts of your body such as your neck, collarbone area, chest, and shoulders for the perfect natural glowing look for an evening out, or just whenever you want to look your best. You can also use it just to accent where the sun would normally hit, like on your nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin. It comes in a very nice container and can be worn both for summer and winter.

Bare Minerals Make up is Great for Sensitive Skin

If you have sensitive skin, you have probably had some difficulty finding a makeup that won’t irritate it. Many makeup products contain artificial perfumes, dyes, and other chemicals that can be harmful to your skin and cause your skin to breakout. These breakouts can be itchy and uncomfortable, not to mention embarrassing and difficult to cover up.

Bare minerals make up is the perfect solution if you have sensitive skin or suffer from skin irritations. Mineral makeup is made from natural minerals from the earth and do not contain unnatural preservatives and chemicals that can cause your skin irritations to flare up. Mineral makeup is so pure that it is even recommended by dermatologists. Because mineral makeup is made up of crushed minerals, it does not contain moisture like normal liquid foundations. This allows the makeup to absorb extra moisture from the air and from your skin.

If you are looking to give bare mineral makeup a try, check out purity mineral makeup from Mineral Science where you can get their

Tips for Using Mineral Foundation

I think that many people who are just discovering bare minerals makeup can be slightly confused with how to apply it. One thing that you need to understand is that mineral makeup stands on its own. My girlfriend the other day was using some of her new Everyday Minerals foundation that she just received, and she had never used mineral makeup before. She ended up putting on her regular foundation, and then put the mineral foundation on top of it. She was worried that because the mineral makeup seemed just like a powder that she wouldn’t get enough coverage using just mineral makeup by itself.

Mineral foundation should be applied by itself, and doesn’t need a traditional liquid foundation underneath it. This is one of the great benefits of using mineral makeup in the first place! You get wonderful coverage without having to cake on all kinds of heavy makeup, and it feels very light and silky. I saw her after she had put on both mineral foundation and liquid foundation, and she had the coverage, but something just didn’t look right. It looked like she had a thick layer of makeup on her face, and besides being smooth, looked a little funny. The next day she tried using just the mineral foundation by itself, and to her surprise, it gave her complete coverage. She looked much better, and really didn’t look like she was wearing any makeup at all, as opposed to when she used the liquid foundation she looked like she had a thick layer of makeup on her face.

The makeup of mineral makeup (there’s a tongue twister!) allows it to adhere to your skin and give you complete coverage without the need for a liquid foundation. However, if you would like, many women often use a moisturizer on their face before applying the mineral foundation. Just remember that it is not necessary to use liquid makeup under your mineral makeup. If you do, you will lose out on many of the advantages that bare minerals makeup provides.

Information about the mineral mika (mica)

If you put mineral make up on your face every day, don’t you think you should know exactly what is in it? Well I’d like to help keep you informed on what you are putting on your face, so I’m going to start writing some posts to tell you about the actual minerals that are in your makeup products. Today we’re going to start with the mineral mika (it’s actually mica, but most people spell it with a k).

Mica is a mineral that is commonly found in many mineral makeup brands, include everyday minerals and bare essentials. If you’ve ever taken a geology class, there is a good chance that you have encountered it before. When I was in school, we had an earth science class and we got to check out all kinds of rocks and minerals when we studied them, and we got to feel them and everything. The sample of mica that we got to see looked like a big flat shiny rock. The cool thing about it was that it was kind of flexible, and you could peel off very thin layers of it that came off in sheets. Mica is a pretty soft mineral (it’s a 2-3 on the hardness scale) which is why you are able to flex it like a thick sheet of paper.

Mineral mika is mined all over the world, with the largest amount coming from India. It is often used in the electronics industry to manufacture electrical parts. Because it is heat resistant, it is often used as an insulation in electronics, and it can also be used on stoves as windows. Where else can you find mica? In your mineral makeup of course!

Mica is used in mineral make up to create that great shimmering or glowing appearance. The word “mica” actually comes from a latin word meaning ‘to glitter’. The brilliance of this mineral is due to the fact that it has perfect basal cleavage. Who wouldn’t want perfect cleavage! Actually, in geological terms, cleavage refers to the way a mineral splits or breaks apart. This is what gives mica it’s shimmery sparkly glow, and this is why it is in your mineral makeup!

Mineral Mika is non toxic and non carcinogenic, so it is perfectly safe for use by humans, especially to make you look more beautiful!

Bare mineral makeup is a type of makeup that is completely different from anything you’ve used before. The makeup that you usually use is made up of all kinds of different chemicals, perfumes, and other harmful ingredients that can cause damage or discomfort to your skin. If you are new to natural mineral makeup or organic cosmetics, it can be quite confusing trying to figure out which brand or shad of bare minerals makeup is right for you. Without any experience, it can be very tough to figure out which is the best mineral makeup. That is what we are trying to help you with. To find the best mineral makeup for you and your skin type or skin tone.

There are many different companies that sell bare mineral makeup. Some are better than others, and some are more expensive than others. Luckily many of these mineral makeup companies offer free mineral makeup kits or free bare minerals makeup samples that allow you to try the products before you decide to buy. Pure mineral makeup is made up of finely crushed minerals from the earth, and they don’t contain any preservatives, dyes, or other harmful chemicals that are often found in traditional types of makeup. You can get bare mineral makeup as mineral foudation, eye make up, concealer, blush, lipstick, etc. Natural mineral makeup is great for sensitive skin, or those with conditions like rosacea, because they don’t contain bad chemicals that can irritate the skin. They also don’t contain any moisture like regular makeup. The moisture in traditional cosmetics can cause all kinds of nasty disgusting bacteria to grow and multiply on your face, causing all kinds of complications.

If you are brand new to bare mineral makeup, I would definitely check out some of the free mineral makeup kits that are out there. Most companies that sell organic cosmetics or bare mineral makeup will offer free samples where you just have to pay shipping only. It definitely pays to get these samples, as shipping is usually only a few dollars, and many mineral makeup kits sell for upwards of sixty dollars or more. From what I’ve seen, if you get a free sampler, you usually get 5 or 6 products for free, and on some sites, they even let you choose what products you want to receive. This is definitely a great deal to get some free bare mineral makeup.

So you get your choice of 6 signature colors for free, and you can choose from a nice selection of foundation, blush, bronzers, concealers and color correctors, and finishing veil.

Although you get to pick six shades for free, they do make you pay shipping. The makeup comes in 5g containers though, so I don’t think the shipping costs are going to be a big deal. One problem that I think a lot of people have is deciding on which shade or color to use that will match your skintone. If you are having this problem, this is another great thing to use these free samples for. Just get six different shades or colors and find out which one is perfect for you!

This is the perfect opportunity to try out practically for free bare minerals make up if you haven’t done so already. Just head on over to Signature Minerals Free Samples, fill out the form, order up and welcome yourself to the world of bare minerals make up!
Everyday Minerals
I came across another mineral makeup free sample kit recently as well. If you head over to everyday minerals and click on ‘custom kits’ (under the makeup section) then you will end up at a page where you can customize your own make up kits. Scroll down until you find the ‘free sample makeup kit’. You can use this to test out which colors and shades work best for your particular skin tone. This sampler comes with 5 items. You get three foundations, one blush and face color, and one concealer. Another great deal.

So now you have no excuses to get started and try out some bare minerals make up!

If you are interested in natural mineral makeup, you have probably heard of Bare Escentuals. They sell all kinds of bare minerals makeup products, and are one of the leaders in the industry. One thing that this company offers are several different “get started kits” which should be perfect for you if you have never used any kind of mineral makeup before, and would like to give it a shot.

Bare Escentuals Get Started Mineral Makeup Kits
This is the main bare minerals starter kit that bare essentials offers. It comes in a variety of shades from light to medium to tan. It will be up to you to choose the foundation that will most closely match your skin tone. The kit includes 2 Bare Minerals SPF15 Foundations, Mineral Veil Warmth All Over Face Color, the Flawless Application Face Brush, Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush, Full Coverage Kabuki Brush, Skin Rever Upper and howto DVD.

Now I’m not going to repost here every mineral makeup review ever written, but I have researched a ton of mineral makeup reviews for this product, and I can tell you that most users absolutely love this bare escentuals makeup kit, and agree that it is the healthiest form of makeup for sensitive skin and will not cause irritation. The fact that it comes with a howto video is really great, especially if you are a new mineral makeup user. Several users say that after trying bare minerals makeup, they could never go back to liquid makeup. Unfortunately if you have sensitive skin, or skin conditions like rosacea (check bare minerals makeup for rosacea and senstive skin), it can be very difficult to find a makeup that will work for you, but if you have these issues, then I would definitely give this mineral makeup a try.

Eye Make Up
Bare Essentials also has a get started kit especially for eyes. It is called “Get Started Eyes”, and comes in a 7 piece kit. The set includes 3 .02oz bareMinerals Eyeshadows in 3 different flavors: Vanilla Sugar (which is a creamy beige color), Peach Puff (which is a lush peach color), and Soft Focus Explore (which is a soft brown color). The set also comes with a .01oz bare minerals Liner Shadow that comes in a chocolate raisin color called Fashionista, as well as a countour shadow brush, an eye defining brush, and also an eyliner brush. Users who have used this kit love the beautiful long lasting color that this mineral makeup provides.

So there you have it! Next time we’ll go beyond the basics, but for now this was a couple easy ways to get started and try bare essentials to see if you like it!

No Bacteria
One great advantage of natural mineral makeup over conventional makeup is the fact that it will not allow bacteria to develop. Most conventional makeup is in a liquid or oily form and because of this moisture it will allow bacteria to grow on it. This is why many traditional makeups have expiration dates. After a certain amount of time they will build up nasty bacteria. Due to the fact that bare minerals makeup is completely dry and in a powder form, there is no moisture buildup and therefore no way for bacteria to grow. I think the last thing that anyone wants to do is smear their face with bacteria. Another benefit of the lack of moisture in mineral makeup is that it will last much longer. Because regular makeup already contains moisture, humid conditions and sweat or oil that naturally come from your body will cause regular makeup to practically melt away. Natural mineral makeup on the other hand has the ability to absorb all of this extra moisture lasting much longer and keeping you looking gorgeous all day long.
Skin Health
Bare minerals makeup is a much healther choice for your skin than conventional makeup. Most regular liquid foundations can end up clogging your pores, which can lead to nasty breakouts. Some regular makeups also contain chemicals that are actually designed to remove the top layer of your skin! Yes, this may make you look slightly younger, but it doesn’t sound like a very healthy or safe way to do it! Standard cosmetics also contain other chemicals that are not good for your skin either, such as harmful perfumes dyes, and preservatives. The best thing you can do for your face is to stop using that dangerous makeup and start using bare minerals makeup instead. Mineral makeups are made purely from natural minerals from the earth, and do not contain these harmful chemicals. Bare minerals makeup also has the additional bonus property of being able to block harmful UV rays from the sun, so it acts as a sunscreen also! Many users have reported an increase in the health of their skin after using bare minerals make up for only a short time. Using bare minerals makeup greatly reduces the chance that you will have breakouts or develop a skin irritation.
