Centella (Cica)

Centella asiatica, commonly called cica or tiger grass, is a herb long used in traditional Asian medicine that has become a staple in modern skincare. Its key actives, asiaticoside, madecassoside, and asiatic acid, work together to reinforce the skin barrier, calm redness, and support the skin's natural repair process.

Cica is ideal for sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin, and works well after procedures like chemical peels or microneedling. It layers easily under moisturizer and pairs well with niacinamide or ceramides. Look for it in serums, toners, and balms, use morning or evening, or both if your skin is particularly stressed.
