What it is
The Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint in 05 Cherry So What is a Korean lip tint designed to deliver buildable, glossy color while addressing the dryness and dehydration that traditional matte liquid lipsticks often cause. Part of Peripera's Ink Mood line, it leans into the K-beauty "glass lip" aesthetic — a dewy, dimensional finish rather than a flat, opaque coat. Shade 05 is a cool-toned cherry red with enough depth to read vibrant on fair skin and rich on deeper complexions.
Who it's for
This tint suits anyone who finds matte liquid lipsticks uncomfortable — particularly those with chronically dry or flaky lips who still want real color payoff. It's a natural fit for K-beauty routines and for shoppers who prefer a low-effort, glossy everyday lip. Who should skip it: if you need a transfer-proof, all-day formula that survives meals and coffee, the glowy texture will disappoint. Those with fragrance or dye sensitivities should verify the full INCI list on packaging before purchasing, as specific ingredient data is not available in our current product records.
How to use it
Apply directly from the doe-foot applicator, starting at the center of the lips and pressing outward. For a soft, diffused K-beauty "bitten lip" effect, blend inward only and leave the outer edges lighter. For full, saturated color, layer two passes and let the first application set for 30 seconds before adding the second. This tint works as the last step in your makeup routine, after all skincare has been fully absorbed — applying it over a greasy occlusive will compromise longevity. Reapply after eating or drinking as needed.
Key ingredients
The complete ingredient list for this formula is not included in our current product data, so we cannot verify specific actives. What we can say is that the "Glowy" designation in K-beauty lip products typically corresponds to formulas built around emollient esters and film-forming agents that create a smooth, reflective surface rather than a mattifying powder base. The product is positioned to address dryness and dehydration at the lip, which points to a formula that prioritizes slip and moisture retention over matte finish. Always cross-check the full INCI list if you have known sensitivities.
Pros & cons
- Broadly well-reviewed: 4.4 out of 5 stars across more than 3,300 shoppers is a meaningful signal of consistent satisfaction.
- Flattering shade range: Cherry 05 is a cool-toned red that tends to read wearable across fair, medium, and deeper skin tones.
- Comfortable wear: The glowy formula is designed to feel hydrating rather than tight — a genuine differentiator from matte competitors.
- Buildable coverage: One swipe gives a sheer tint; layering increases saturation without clumping or pilling.
- Not transfer-proof: Expect to reapply after eating or drinking — this is a gloss-adjacent formula, not a stain.
- Ingredient transparency gap: Without a published INCI list in our records, sensitive-skin shoppers cannot fully vet it before buying.
- Finish preference is polarizing: The high-shine texture is a selling point for some and a dealbreaker for shoppers who exclusively wear matte or satin lips.
How it compares
The Ink Mood Glowy Tint lives in the lip category, but hydration-focused K-beauty routines often work from the inside out — and that's where skincare counterparts come in. If dry, dull-looking skin is undermining an otherwise polished lip look, the COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Face Moisturizer is a well-established option for restoring surface moisture to the surrounding skin without heaviness. For an earlier routine step, the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence preps skin with a lightweight, hydrating essence that keeps the complexion plump and prepped before makeup application — a logical pairing if dehydration is your primary concern across both face and lips.
The verdict
The Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint in 05 Cherry So What is a strong everyday option if you want cherry-toned color that feels comfortable and looks luminous rather than parched. Its 4.4-star rating across a large shopper base suggests the formula consistently delivers on its glowy, moisturizing promise. The caveats are real: it will not survive a meal without reapplication, and the lack of a readily available ingredient list makes it harder to recommend sight-unseen to shoppers with sensitivities. Within those limits, it is a well-regarded K-beauty lip tint that does what it claims.
What shoppers say
Shoppers consistently praise how feather-light and non-sticky this tint feels throughout the day, with several noting it wears more comfortably than expected for the category. The formula glides on smoothly, carries a subtle pleasant scent, and delivers a buildable wash of color that holds up reasonably well for a sheer lip product.
The most common caveat is color unpredictability: because the formula is translucent, the result shifts noticeably depending on your natural lip pigmentation and skin tone, making online swatches unreliable. A few buyers also flag that the glossy finish is short-lived—fading to more of a tinted stain fairly quickly—so those expecting lasting shine may be disappointed.
Overall: The formula is pleasant to wear - pretty lightweight and comfortable. The colors are tricky to gauge from online though - I think how a color looks depends on the color of your lips (if your lips are dark or light) since this is translucent, as well as your skin tone (cool, neutral, olive, warm). It is shiny when first applied, then it settles down to more of a gentler but still visible shine after you talk and walk around (like a lip balm). The staining effect is more for the deeper and more saturated colors; the paler the color, then I think not much staining happens, it then acts more like a lip gloss. If you want it to stay looking more shiny and glossy like the initial application, then I'd recommend topping with PeriPera's Glasting Gloss, which is excellent. For context, I am Asian, and I have a light medium skin tone that is somewhat warm but not super warm, somewhat neutral and olive as well. My lips are a darker color than my skin. The colors I tried: -Warm-Gorithm (012) - this shade was darker on me than I expected. Rather than looking like a nude color, I would say this is like a low-key ruddy (reddish) look for the lips. So a gentle neutral slightly reddish tint. This color is pretty easygoing and is gentle enough to go with a lot of looks, but it was a bit darker than I personally wanted -Joking Pink (027) - is more of a lighter color like I originally expected Warm-Gorithm to be. On me this is like a gentle warm pink tint on top of my natural lips. That said, it's still not a super pale/light pink color per se, maybe again because my lips are not pale to begin with. It's a nice little addition of natural pink to the lips. It wasn't super cool-toned; I think this might look good on most skin tones -Gogo Berry (32) - is like a somewhat deeper (not lighter in color) mauvish-rosy color. This would look good on a lot of skin tones I think. It's not too saturated/bright, but still has color. -Honorable Berry (031) - this can be layered just once on top of lip balm or under a clear lip gloss for a nice sheer wash of a red color, or layered twice with a soft border for a cute, slightly gentle red lip. It's got plenty of color without being too neon, and isn't particularly warm-hued. I think this is a very wearable red lip - not too intense. -Coral Pride (024) - this color I found too intense personally. It's quite saturated and quite warm, like a red-orange. Even though my skin does have some warm undertones, my skin is still neutral-olive-cool in a way too. So it kind of clashed with me, personally. I'm guessing that maybe this color could work for really warm skin tones or more fair skin tones ? But it's great for someone who wants a stronger, bolder color. It's still translucent like all the other tints in this collection, but the saturation is noticeable still. UPDATE: tip - it seems like you should be able to make the colors look lighter even if you have darker lips like me, if you begin first with a more nude-leaning lip liner. With that kind of layering, colors like Warmgorithm look less dark on me.
Read on Amazon ↗Holy stinkin bananas. I love this tint so much. I got it in 021 Cooling Pink (Lucky Lottery), and with my life long love of cooler-toned pinks (NOT a coral or nude-brown-toned fan), this is a 10/10. Keep in mind that this is not a neutral or muted pink - it'll look more like that natural "flushed," fresh look with some brightness to it. I actually hated tints (and stains) for the longest time, but must admit that there's a large gap of time between the last time I tried one and this product. I hated the flat effect, weird textures, weird marks after some time, unevenness, etc. If you're anti-sticky lippies, but still want that high-shine, nourishing & moisturizing effect, and not as many reapplications, this is the stuff. You will look fresh-faced - it's such a lovely color. The tint doesn't last that long, BUT enough if you're throwing on another lip balm once or twice in the day afterwards. There is no weird white line, there is no flaking, none of that dry or peeling lip. When you reapply (after eating for example), it's like a fresh hydrated lip it's getting applied on, so it'll turn out smooth - over and over and over again. Note: I'm also based out of Colorado so it is super dry out here. This is such a high-quality lip product and I'm happy to have found a new holy grail (in any lippies I've ever used in the past 15 years). + Specifics: - I used it obsessively every single day, multiple times a day, and the one tube lasted just over one month. - If you're anywhere from a MAC NC 20 to 42, I'd say give it a shot (this is generally my range of foundation or close with bronzing / summer color). + Update: - On my 7th tube of this & going on the 8th soon in March 2026 (edit: clearly out of control by May 2026). I exclusively reach for this all day every day (and never had a history of doing that with any lip product, unless it was a night time lip balm). - The color fresh out the tube will be slightly lighter and more cool toned. As time goes on with the bottle (and oxidation) it will get....stronger? Imagine raising the saturation level while you edit a photo. Still 100/10 color and tone wise - will not stop me from moving onto another one.

Read on Amazon ↗I have a love hate relationship with this product 🤣 Love: • It feels great on! Not sticky AT ALL! • Lasts well for a lip product. Hate: • I believe it said it’s a gloss, but that factor lasts upon application and that’s about it. I wouldn’t consider it a gloss. I don’t mind it, but I have other longer lasting products. • I don’t feel like the color matches the photos or I would give 4 stars. I was hoping it would be more pinky than berry, which doesn’t look good on me. Overall I would buy again, but look for shades on others that may be closer to what I am looking for in a color.
Read on Amazon ↗I wasn’t expecting much from this lip gloss stain; I’d misplaced my usual (pricier) one and grabbed this on a whim because of the fast delivery and similar color. Big surprise! Right out of the package, it has a light, natural scent (which I always check). I braced for the typical sticky mess, but nope, it glides on with a satiny, high-end feel that’s completely non-sticky; no weird taste either; just classic lip gloss vibes, but way better. It’s super hydrating, gives a gorgeous glossy shine, and delivers solid coverage without feeling heavy. I went for a bright pink, and the pigmentation is perfect, pleasantly buildable and vibrant, but it lands as subtle and wearable rather than overpowering or ‘in your face.’ It feels luxurious for the price and leaves my lips soft and comfortable. Total unexpected win; highly recommend if you’re after that glossy-yet-staining look without the tackiness

Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint – 05 Cherry So What: frequently asked questions
What is the Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint?
The Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint is a Korean lip tint that delivers a sheer, glossy wash of color with a moisturizing, non-sticky finish. Shade 05 Cherry So What is a soft cherry-red that flatters a wide range of skin tones. Unlike matte tints, this formula prioritizes a dewy, glass-lip effect while still depositing buildable color.
Does the Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint stain your lips?
It leaves a light stain after the gloss layer fades, but it's much more subtle than Peripera's Ink Blur or Ink Velvet lines. Expect a soft, natural-looking tint rather than a long-wear stain. If you need serious staying power through meals, you may want to layer it over a longer-lasting base.
How long does the Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint last?
The glossy finish typically lasts two to three hours before it begins to fade, with a faint color stain remaining. Eating and drinking will shorten wear time noticeably. For longer color payoff, apply a thin layer, blot, then reapply — the stain underneath holds up better that way.
Who is this lip tint best suited for?
It's a great pick for anyone who wants a hydrating, low-effort everyday lip look — especially those with dry or dehydrated lips who find matte formulas uncomfortable. The sheer cherry shade works well for no-makeup makeup looks and is beginner-friendly. It's less ideal for those who prefer bold, opaque color or all-day wear without touch-ups.
Is Peripera a good brand?
Peripera is a well-regarded South Korean brand (not Filipino) known for affordable, trend-driven lip products that consistently perform above their price point. The brand has a strong following among K-beauty enthusiasts in the US for delivering genuine pigment and wearable textures. Quality is reliable for casual, everyday use, though their formulas vary across product lines.
How do you apply the Ink Mood Glowy Tint for the best result?
Apply directly from the doe-foot applicator, starting at the center of your lips and pressing outward for a natural gradient, or coat the full lip for even coverage. For a longer-lasting look, apply one layer, press your lips together to lightly blot, then add a second coat on top. Prepping with a lip scrub helps the color sit more evenly on dry lips.
How does Peripera compare to Romand for glowy lip tints?
Both brands make popular K-beauty lip tints, but they target slightly different finishes. Romand's Juicy Lasting Tint leans more toward a semi-matte, long-wear stain, while Peripera's Ink Mood Glowy Tint prioritizes a dewy, moisturizing glow with less emphasis on longevity. If hydration and shine are your priorities, Peripera is the stronger choice; if you want a stain that survives the day, Romand edges ahead.
