I tried "PORCELAIN" first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing "FAIR" looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I'm more peachy, like the "LIGHT" model - but I'm super pale...but ... but.. hem ..haw.. Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn't quite right, as I have. I got it specifically due to cheapest price point. I consider this makeup high end for my meager budget and would never pay full price. However something told me to go ahead. I don’t regret the purchase at all. I’m 50 with slight signs of an aging face, few wrinkles, a little redness sometimes, hormonal acne, once in a rare while. It went on darker than anticipated and later self adjusted in about 15-20 minutes. It evens out skin and gives a soft focus diffused look. Very quick to apply and stays put. Plus it feels like I have nothing on my skin, no makeup feel at all. I would definitely recommend especially at the current sale price. Give it a try because it definitely looks like this lady has some good makeup. It would be lovely to be able to afford to try more of this line. Just like good skincare at any age, a good makeup line is definitely a nice up level. This one is definitely worth it! I am normally an Maybeline BB dream fresh user or Covergirl Olay simply Ageless. I find this to be light to buildable, sheer matt coverage, that doesn’t sit in fine lines. It acts like setting powder but is actually a foundation. If you’re a fan of 5 minute makeup or the no makeup makeup look this is definitely it! Good moisturizer, a mascara, lip gloss or lipstick and this as foundation and you’re out the door in 5!

I had ordered the color 'fair' directly from the manufacturer along with coordinating products, such as their highlighting powder, primer, brushes & blush (I don't use the blush). The color fair was perfect for me & I was amazed at how fast the makeup went on & the finished effect. I could brush it on quickly, apply a quick flick of the brightener (which I found to be a lovely compliment), completing the whole process in less than a minute. This immediately became my favorite go-to. It goes on so FAST & so SMOOTH which I found astounding considering my past experience with powder type foundations. When I saw this on Amazon, I promptly ordered another, choosing the exact same description (be sure to read the back label) & color. However, this next compact I received did not have as much of the central brighten(er) marble streak that the first compact had, which essentially changed the color a lot for me. So. I would caution that if you are as particular of your shade of foundation as I am (& after all, isn't that one of the major reasons we wear face makeup to begin with?) you may not receive exactly the same shade each time, changing your finished effect - even though you order the same product. I went ahead & ordered the porcelain highlighter compact hoping to use it overtop of the 'fair' shade to lighten the color. The brightener's recommended use is to enhance the cheekbones, nose & chin areas after applying the initial foundation. But because I'm using it to lighten the shade-too-dark foundation, it becomes a different function & adds more layers as well as time to the routine.. Which kind of vetoed what I had found to be the best qualities of the makeup to begin with. And needing to buy the extra brightener compact was an added expense I didn't expect. So once these have been used up, I'm not sure I'll purchase it again since my former cream foundation is a perfect shade for me. I also have the kabuki brush and I like that I can have variations of coverage in different areas and it will all still blend together seamlessly. 2. I use a liquid concealer for my eyes. This powder blends over it well and doesn’t cause the concealer to cake up underneath like some other products I’ve tried. 3. The blurring and brightening effect is just beautiful! It has given me my natural glow back. 4. I use shade medium and I find it works very well with my freckles and complexion. It doesn’t mismatch my neck or look too light/dark. I put it on at 10am this morning. It’s now after 11pm and my makeup still looks fresh and as if I just put it on. It hasn’t worn off at all! Further, I have very oily skin and often apply powder several times a day. But I haven’t needed to apply powder even once today. Even my nose has remained oil free. I put it on dry at first, then put the other half on wet - but I didn’t really notice a difference either way, so I’ll probably apply it dry from now on. The coverage is great and gives an even, matte finish on my skin while lightly covering some sun spots I have on my face. And the color is a perfect match to my light, but slightly tanned skin. Today is the first time I’ve used it, but so far I am blown away and wish I’d tried it years ago. The price is a tad high if you’re on a budget, but it’s well worth it now that I’ve used it. I’ll be curious to see how long it lasts though. Regardless, I highly recommend and am super happy with this purchase.
