What it is

TIRTIR Mask Fit Make-up Fixer is a finishing setting spray from the South Korean brand best known for its complexion-focused formulas. The 2.7 fl oz bottle delivers a fine mist designed to lock makeup in place and extend wear — a particular focus of the Mask Fit line, which was developed to address makeup longevity under real-world conditions. With a 4.5 out of 5 rating across more than 5,100 shopper reviews, it has built a strong track record in the setting spray category.

Who it's for

This spray is best suited for people with oily or combination skin who deal with midday shine, visible pores, or a base that migrates off the T-zone by noon. A setting spray can also help meld the layers of a multi-step base routine — foundation, concealer, and powder — into a more seamless finish. People with dry skin can use it, but may find a dedicated oil-control formula too mattifying without pairing it with a hydrating primer or mist underneath. Anyone with fragrance sensitivities or aerosol concerns should review the full ingredient list on the label before purchasing.

How to use it

Apply after all face makeup is complete — foundation, concealer, powder, blush, and highlight all go on first. Hold the bottle 8 to 10 inches from your face and mist in a slow, sweeping X-and-T pattern to distribute the spray evenly without over-saturating any single area. Let it air dry; pressing or patting while wet can disturb the layers beneath. For oily skin, one to two light passes is typically enough. This is the final step of your makeup routine, used after any setting powder. You can also re-mist over bare skin before makeup as a light primer step, or use it mid-day for a quick refresh.

Key ingredients

Specific formulation details are not disclosed in our product data, so verify the full ingredient list on the packaging or the brand's official site before purchasing. Setting sprays designed for oily skin generally rely on film-forming polymers — such as PVP or acrylates copolymers — to create a flexible, humidity-resistant layer over makeup. Many also include skin-conditioning agents like glycerin or panthenol to prevent the tight, stiff sensation some sprays leave behind. If targeted pore control is a priority, look for ingredients like niacinamide or silica on the label, which help absorb excess sebum throughout the day. Korean beauty brands occasionally update their formulations, so it is worth checking the current version's INCI list.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Consistently well-reviewed across a large sample — 4.5/5 from over 5,100 ratings suggests reliable performance
  • Specifically formulated to address oily skin and pore concerns, the most common setting spray pain points
  • Fine-mist nozzle helps distribute product evenly without disturbing the base underneath
  • 2.7 fl oz offers a practical amount of product for daily use

Cons

  • Full ingredient details are not consistently disclosed in retail listings, making pre-purchase sensitivity checks harder
  • Those with dry skin may need a hydrating layer underneath to offset the mattifying effect
  • Setting sprays have a technique learning curve — distance, number of passes, and drying time all affect the final result

How it compares

The TIRTIR spray is a finishing step that works alongside the rest of a color routine rather than replacing other products. If you're assembling a full face, a lash-lengthening option like Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara in Blackest Black handles the eye step, while a versatile cream formula like e.l.f. Monochromatic Multi Stick in Sparkling Rose layers color onto cheeks and lips efficiently. Applying a setting spray over a complete look helps the entire routine hold through heat and humidity — these products function as complements in a routine, not head-to-head alternatives.

The verdict

The TIRTIR Mask Fit Make-up Fixer earns its strong shopper rating by addressing a straightforward problem: keeping an oily complexion from breaking down a full-face look before the day is done. It is a practical finishing step, not a corrective product, so it performs best when layered over a well-matched base. If midday shine and makeup slippage are your primary concerns, this is a well-regarded option worth trying. Keep in mind that no setting spray compensates for a foundation that is a poor match for your skin type — the best results come from a solid routine that the spray is sealing in, not rescuing.

What shoppers say

★ 4.5average from 5.1k ratings on Amazon

Shoppers across skin types — including oily and sensitive — consistently highlight how well this spray extends wear without leaving a heavy or cakey residue. The ultra-fine mist is a frequent standout: it distributes evenly, melds powders into the skin, and imparts a dewy, skin-like finish that many found more flattering than matte alternatives. Several reviewers put it through demanding conditions like workouts and outdoor activity with strong results.

The main caveat worth noting is the luminous finish itself — shoppers who prefer a fully matte look may find the subtle glow too much. The reviews skew heavily positive, so those with very oily skin should be aware the finish leans hydrated rather than shine-controlling.

Best. Setting. Spray. PERIOD! (41yrs, sensitive skin, aging, need “natural finish”- this gives it!)

I have tried all- charlotte tilbury, morphe, all-nighter, toy factory, revolution (and other drugstore brands and those on Amazon) and this beats ALL of them. I can use in between makeup layers, as a finishing spray, spray on blender to set concealer/foundation and never had an issue with build up or creasing or settling into fine lines. Not sticky, leaves skin feeling soft yet still glowy (or rather “natural” or satin finish (despite the matte finish label). Great sized bottle that lasts while. Lasts me about 2 months but I use religiously and in between layers sometimes if glam look. Easy covers face and neck with minimal needed thanks to fine mist. No smell I’ve noticed and I’m sensitive to smell. I would recommend to everyone. Also…great over powder or setting powder- never disrupts and seems to melt right in. *for deference- I’m 41, sensitive skin with set wrinkles, fine lines, larger pores and occasional breakout with new products1 never had a problem. Also- I hate when setting spray disrupts hair- if I accidentally get some along hair line or my fine hair- never flattens or makes greasy. Long review….but so worth it!!

The BEST setting spray I’ve ever used,

The best setting spray I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried a lot. Not only does it make sure your makeup lasts all day, but it gives a subtle glow that makes your skin look fresh and hydrated. Too many finishing sprays are matte finish and can make your makeup look dry and cakey, This is hydrating and is perfect to keep in my bag anytime I need to freshen up throughout the day. Just mist and look like you’ve just applied a fresh face of makeup. Especially gorgeous for girlies like me who like the “no makeup” makeup look, perfect for summer! This is now a staple in my makeup bag!

Best Setting Spray I Have Ever Used

I love k-beauty and love this brand's foundation (like many people, it's actually good.) And I have tried a lot of different setting sprays and none have actually been as good as this one to me. My skin is oily so my makeup tends to not last. This didn't and made my skin look and feel less greasy. It doesnt have a scent and it settles matte. It does get a little duller during the day but not nearly as bad as it does without it. I absolutely recommend this setting spray.

Definite favorite

This setting spray is great! It reminds me of a few high end products because it is lightweight and performs so well. The application is awesome because the mist is super fine - no splotches on your face at all. It doesn't leave a film, helps my makeup last all day in any event and any weather. I have recommended it to so many people because its price point cannot be beat. Definitely worth the buy.

Mask Fit Make-up Fixer Makeup Setting Spray 2.7 fl oz: frequently asked questions

What does the TIRTIR Mask Fit Make-up Fixer do?

The Mask Fit Make-up Fixer is a setting spray designed to lock makeup in place and extend wear throughout the day. It targets oily, pore-prone skin, helping to control shine and keep foundation and concealer from breaking down. A few spritzes over a finished face create a fine mist that helps unify the look and minimize the appearance of pores.

Is the TIRTIR Mask Fit Makeup Fixer a setting spray?

Yes — it functions as a setting spray. Worth noting: TIRTIR also sells a separate Waterproof Setting Spray, so the two are distinct products. The Makeup Fixer is the everyday formula focused on oil control and longevity, while the Waterproof version is built for high-humidity or sweat-prone situations. Check which one you need before buying.

Is the TIRTIR Mask Fit setting spray waterproof?

No — the Mask Fit Make-up Fixer is not the same as TIRTIR's dedicated Waterproof Setting Spray. This formula targets oily skin and pore control for everyday wear but is not marketed as waterproof. If water resistance is a priority — beach, gym, or humid climates — TIRTIR's Waterproof variant is the more appropriate choice.

How long does the TIRTIR setting spray last on oily skin?

Wear time depends on skin type, climate, and how much makeup you apply, but TIRTIR formulated this spray specifically for oily and pore-prone skin to extend longevity through the day. Results vary — those with particularly oily skin may get the best outcome by pairing it with an oil-control primer underneath.

Should I apply setting spray before or after mascara?

Always apply setting spray after your full face of makeup is complete, mascara included. Spraying over damp lashes can interfere with mascara application and smear product. Finish your eyes, let mascara dry fully, then mist the TIRTIR Mask Fit Make-up Fixer about 8–10 inches from your face in a slow X-and-T pattern. For a reliable mascara to finish with, consider Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara.

What is the difference between a fixing spray and a setting spray?

The terms are used interchangeably by most brands, and the TIRTIR Mask Fit Make-up Fixer is no exception — it works exactly like a setting spray, locking makeup in after application. Some brands distinguish by finish (dewy vs. matte) or hold strength, but the category label matters less than whether the formula suits your skin type.

Is the TIRTIR Mask Fit fixing spray a good choice for oily skin?

Yes — oily skin and visible pores are the specific concerns this spray addresses. The formula is designed to control shine and help complexion products stay put on skin that tends to break down makeup faster. It is a practical everyday option, though very oily skin types may still need touch-ups in extreme heat or humidity.
